Which OS?
do a search on manage playback devices and then select your sound card as the default playback device. I'm thinking it defaulted to the HD/HDMI output

Running on Windows 7

I've gone through playback options, it used to be on HDMI output, so I switched to DVI. Now the default setting is 'Speakers' and it says its picking up audio but nothing playing out loud.

Im new to all this, I hope I can get this sorted by today.

I know my speakers have ran through my PC before, I used to have a TV instead of the monitor and I plugged my speakers into the headphone port and got great sound. If I plug them into my monitors headphone port, while the HDMI option is selected I get this horrible buzzing sound.
My speakers work fine on my phone.

HEEELP! :p
