I am currently unable to install a new Asus GTX660 OC Edition graphics card with 2GB GDDR5 memory to the Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3 motherboard on my computer. I have tried multiple times to install this card to my computer and the results have been the same every time. Even though the system POST's without error, there is not video output from the graphics card. I plug the feed for the monitor into the on-board graphics port on the motherboard and video is outputing, but no feed comes out of the GTX660. I can re-install my old ASUS GTX560 DCII with 1GB GDDR5 memory and I get video output before I even re-install the old drivers.

This is second graphics card I have tried, having RMA'd the first one thinking the issue was a faulty card. Each time I have tried to install the new graphics card, I have deleted all of the old drivers from the computer, powered down, then disconnected the power supply from the source. I then installed the new card, reconnected to power, cleared the RTC RAM using the jumper on the motherboard and booted up. At this point I have a black screen with the monitor connected to the graphics card. Plugging my monitor into the motherboard, I see the setup screens for the "newly installed" CPU and am lead through the BIOS. The computer then boots up normally with video still outputting from the on-board GPU.

When I attempt to install the graphics drivers, both from the CD and downloaded online, the install tool does not recognize the new graphics card. I have tried switching the graphics setting on the BIOS to PCIe and disabling the on-board graphics driver, but neither helped. Asus support insisted it was my power supply, but the power supply is in spec using a digital power supply tester. I also tested the 6 pin power connector from the power supply with the multi-meter while the computer was running to see if there was not enough juice being supplied under load and receiving a reading of 12V on all the yellow wires.

I am really running out of ideas and would greatly appreciate some help. I really don't know what else to try and I don't think the motherboard is the issue since the GTX560 still works in the same PCIe slot. What am I missing?

Thank you for any assistance
