GTX970 SLi psu question?

Hello Everyone!

So, I'm planning to buy a GTX970 and another one in the future.

I have a Seasoninc G650 PSU. I've used two GTX760's and an FX8350 with this psu before. Now I have a 4670K wich needs less power and according to the specifications the 970 consumes less power than the 760.

So should I try an other 970 in the future or I need a better PSU?

I just answered this for another forum member. Here you go:
The card itself is maxxed out at 145watts (or a little over 12amps) according to Nvidia. Nvidia recommends a 500watt PSU with 28amps on the +12V rail for the entire system when running one 970 card and NOT overclocking anything.
RealHardTechX (http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm) has a chart showing a recommendation of 700 watts for two GTX 970's in SLI.
That Seasonic(Iam assuming you are talking about the S12G-650 of SSR-650RT) has 54amps on the 12volt rail, and that is a continuous power rating at 50Celsius; Even at full power the 970 cards should not take more then a little over 24amps, leaving power for the rest of the system; and nothing in your PC is...

You will probably be just fine with that Seasonic power supply and two 970's
980's will require more power.
