Ive read the sticky about SLI but i was wondering, eventually when I upgrade my 780 ti, ignoring price as a factor, purely based on performance, would it be better to buy another 780 ti for sli or to just buy the then graphics card of the same standard?
I'm not planning anytime soon, only when my demands exceed the gpu's power.

It all depends on the screen resolution, and tech available a the time. There is NO way at all to give an accurate answer to this. Ask it again in a few years when you want to add a second card.
