pci-e to pci conversion

has anyone used one of these adapters Pci-e x1 to pci? I bought a nice sound card but didn't realize it was pci and all I have is pci-e slots. the sound card is the HT Omega Claro II which is an upgrade to my older x-fi titanium. link below

Which X-Fi Titanium did you replace? I have used a Creative Labs X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro for 6 years and wouldn't replace it with anything. The EMU20K2 is still one of the best audio DSPs on the market and is definitely superior to the CMI8788 that your new card uses.

Note that the PCI card will need to be a half-height one. That sound card is full height, so won't fit.

pinhedd my box that the old X-fi came in says x-fi titanium and in the upper right hand corner says 'fatality" in an oval window. The model is SB0880? good or not?

That's the vanilla X-Fi Titanium. It's a step below the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro but it's still a pretty damn good card
