Hey guys, I am planning on buying a budget gaming pc that i can build on in the near future.

I will have 4gb ram, 430w psu, Radeon 7770 or Radeon 7850, I will get a mobo thats am3/am3+.

Will the cpu bottleneck those gpus? If so, then how bad? And will oc help?

I want to play the new games like bf4 and cod ghost at at least medium with 40fps or higher.

And could someone recommend a good cheap gaming cpu? If the Athlon ii x doesn't cut it.

Thanks
Shamar Holtz

Hopefully that PSU will last you. The CX isn't a great line of PSU's... also do not go for A8-A10 APU's they are FM2+ and they come with intergrated graphics so getting a dedicated GPU is a waste technically. Get a 6300 CPU atleast and 8gb Atleast for gaming.

Get a Board that supports FX and get a 6300 and also try to get 4gb of ram. the 7850 does great on BF4

here is a list for you buddy :p

And old tri-core Athlon will bottleneck any card.. and OC won't help to much about that either... just opt in for a newer generation build if you want the build to last you a while.

Thanks for that build. Ill take most of your advice but remeber, I am on a tight budget. I am shopping on ebay for deals and such now. I already have a cosiar 430w psu and I just won a 7770 on ebay for $53, good deal right? I have heard and seen that the 7770 can play bf4 and titan fall, etc. pretty well with a goid processor, I'm thinking of getting a amd A8 or A10 series or a fx 4100, 4300 or the 6300. I am also getting 4gb g.skill ripjaws. Would the fx 4300 be enough? Or will I have to get the 6300?

Ya i know, cheap psu's like to explode and take some of ur parts with it. I am using CORSAIRCX seriesCX430 430WATX12Vv2.3 80 PLUS BRONZECertified ActivePFC Power Supply ;)

I still haven't decided on the 7850 or the 7770, but i will find out tomorrow night (if i win the bid on eBay). I recently posted another thread and have decided to get the Amd FX 6300 + Gigabyte MOBO bundle from my local microcenter. 4gb RAM should be enough for me to start with. all of my pieces of my pc were chosen for the purpose to be exchangable for better parts in the far but near futre. Thanks for all your help guys!

Np bro! Goodluck on your bids! Both those cards will get you some sweet gaming for a bit :p
