BUILD WILL NOT POST URGENT Please help

ok, so my last 2 parts of my build came in the mail today and I decided to install it...

G3258, R9 280x, 8GB Ripjaws, Hyper 212 Evo, CX500, Gigabyte Z87N-Wifi

I did the usual build it outside the box but when it came to boot it up, it decided to spin the fans for 0.5 sec on both the PSU and CPU fan and then stop and start again...

I used the paperclip method and made sure that the PSU was working.. Also the GPU was running just fine.

well the PSU had powered up multiple times today and also the 280x, I paired the 280x with the g3258 because i got the 280x for $200 which is pretty dang cheap

Yer I know its a gigabyte and the G3248 is a haswell refresh CPU. But if your mobo doesnt have F5 on it now the system wont turn on.

Until you either take it back to the shop when you brought it from and ask them. Or find a mate or someone with a lower spec CPU that the BIOS thats on the mobo now supports

Then flash it. Then put your CPU back in. Then hopefully it works
