Hello Tom'sHardware Community, im having a bit of an issue installing my LAN drivers for my on-board ethernet port, my motherboard is a ASUS, P8Z77-V.. as i've seen on other threads, my hardware id for my ethernet controller is ( PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_85051043&REV_09 ) i have tried downloading the drivers from: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P8... . but to no avail. ( Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer.

Thanks,

Spudvik

What operating system?

If it say it is the wrong drivers, you can pretty much rely on that being true.

A least I have never seen that message, unless you have the wrong drivers, or a bad or disabled card.

I checked 7 and 8 drivers.

It dose say Intel is the only LAN device.

Assuming you have the right everything, A virus or Malware can completely disable a LAN card.

This happened to a friend, and it took a clean install to make it work again.

I temporarily installed a PCI LAN card for 6 months, until. I could do the clean instal.

Somehow I think they've got the wrong drivers. Its Realtek I think not Intel

Try these

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=M5... Its not the same mobo but the drivers should still work

Just remember to get the right drivers

Actually I've never had, or seen any ASUS mobos that have Intel LAN's on them.
