Hello,

I have just completed a build with the below components, and while it works great for the most part, it has been restarting randomly with the below code in event viewer(Kernel-Power 41 (63)):

"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

This usually happens after ~45 min of heavy gaming, a few seconds of prime95, ~5 minutes of heavy GPU bench-marking, as well as randomly every few hours while idling.

I have the below components and have installed the latest drivers on my graphics card.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($339.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($74.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($174.99 @ Newegg)

I have used the "Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool, which gives me a "PASS" in all areas, and I have used the memory diagnostic tool with no problems.

Additionally, I have used HWMonitor and the temperatures seem to be somewhat in the normal range.

What could be the culprit of this Kernel-Power issue? Is this a power supply problem? Are there any other tests I can perform to find the culprit?

Thank you for any help!

It can be related to a PSU that stop error. Got a spare one you could try?

Wish some of those parts were that cheap here lol. Some of them would be twice or x3 the price here

Windows over here even tho its Win7 is still like 150+ NZ

The wattage seems to be fine, everything is matching. Could be a poorly setup A/C connector which isn't all the way into the power-supply.

Hello guys,

Also wanted to post the below screenshots from HWM monitor. Are these acceptable for the CPU VCORE? It seems to fluctuate between 0.132 to 1.440Vpretty randomly. (Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor)
