I have had my CX750M running my fx-6300 overclocked to 4.5Ghz and my dual r9 270x running in crossfire for a few months now. I'm starting to get concerned that I'm maxing the PSU out and that its going to kill itself and the rest of the computer if I don't change it to a higher wattage and more efficient PSU. Do I need to get a new one or is this PSU not as maxed out as I think it is? If I do need a new one, any suggestions?

Specs:
Fx-6300@4.5Ghz
ASRock 990fx killer
8(4x2)Gb ddr3
Dual r9 270x
CX750M

Those specs are not maxing that PSU out.

It's not a great power supply , but easily sufficient to power your specs.

Easy way to tell is if your psu fan is running super fast (and loud) and blowing out hot air, you are stressing it. Otherwise its okay.

If they are maxed out, they get HOT.

Is it hot?

The air coming out is a bit hot. The air is what is making me concerned

It's not a very good power supply , it's second to last in the Corsair lineup , but should handle your specs very easily.

I can't even tell if it is because when my computer turns on, it sounds like a jet taking off! XD

I'm planning to upgrade it once I upgrade to a new CPU and Motherboard in a few months
