Dual 760's if I'm not mistaken would cost more than a single 980? Less power consumption from the 980 and much more VRAM.

This is a no brainer

::EDIT:: Oh wow, holy price drop batman. My points still stand though. Newer architecture, better home electric bill. More longevity with multi-monitor set-ups. Yes, please~!

Sell the 760, get the 980. Main upgrade there is going to be the greater amount of vram, as well as a less complicated setup.

From what I can find two 770's are close to the speed of a 980 or slightly better so I'm sure that a 980 is likely always faster than two 760's in SLI. To add to this remember that SLI doesn't always work well and there will be games that just don't work well with two cards. With this in mind I recommend sticking with one card as it keeps the complexity of having two cards and gives you similar if not better performance not to mention the added features that maxwell brings with it.

I would do the SLI with the GTX 760 because not only do you have 2304 cuda cores (2048 with the GTX 980) with the SLI, but you have a better deal because it is cheaper.
