So, today when I got home school I noticed that my computer would not awaken from being put to sleep, then I noticed that it was off all together. I tried to turn it back on, but no luck. I noticed that my motherboard did not even have any lights on, which it always does when it is plugged into the wall. I tried using a different cable, a different wall socket, but nothing worked. After more troubleshooting, I came to the conclusion that the PSU is the culprit. It is extremely strange though, as nothing like this has ever happened in the past. So, I ordered a new PSU from Newegg, and it should be here by Friday. For anyone that cares, the PSU that I was using was the Corsair AX760, which has mostly good reviews. I decided to examine the Power Supply carefully, but there was nothing that stood out. No burnt smell, no bulging capacitors that I could see, and no damage. I know that I should be fine if I get the new PSU installed and everything. But now that I have read more online, I am starting to worry if whatever happened might have also caused damage to other components in the PC as well. I am really hoping that it didn't, I am just wondering if someone might have an answer for me on whether or not it did.

Thanks.

Unless you tried the power supply in another computer, or manually tried to start it, you haven't proved the power supply is bad.

If the motherboard or anything else is bad it won't start either.

If the power supply did blow, it is a good quality one, and will have circuit protection to prevent computer damage.
If it was a cheap one, it would be a good chance the computer would be damaged.

It's a high quality power supply , so your other components should be fine.
If it was a cheap PSU , then you would have to worry.
