How to change local area connection network number?

How to change network number in blue circle? Last night it as network 3. Bud this morning it changed network 5?

Solution
First of all do the backup of the existing windows registry, just to ensure that everything can be reverted back to its original if anything goes wrong.

1. type regedit in run
2. traverse through HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>>>SYSTEM>>>NETWORK
3. under it look for 'Connection'. You will find the all the network connections in your system. Look for the older connections which now dont exist. you have to traverse all the connections under the "Network Keys" on the left side.
4. click on the "connection" under the "Network" keys to look for the "name value" on the reading panel which is on the right side. Now you can identiy the older network connections in your system which dont exisit.
5. Delete the older connections under the "network" keys on...
