Hi,
It is very frustrating when I work on my companie's windows XP desktop, always its lan connection goes many time I tried to repair connection but no solution. I also disabled connection but when I tried to enable connection then I couldn't. After that I tried to restart the system but the system only shows 'closing network connection' and after waiting a long time when system only displayed above message, I push the power off button to shut down it. After that I start the system and its internet connection is working fine.
So sir please tell me what is the exact problem. I have faced this problem several times. I have already updated its driver. i can't change this system to windows 7 because my system have some very important companies s/w which will not support windows 7.

More about : windows system lan connection working untill restart

on windows network and usb ports go under the device info under system. make sure "let windows power down this device to save power": is off. if not windows will power down the ethernet and usb ports and they wont come back on sometime till a full reboot.
