Power Supply Failure

Buddy of mine was stress testing his system and blew his power supply works fine with new psu old one only comes on for a split second and then off again the fuse seems fine and replaced, what else should i check for? capacitors are fine as well.

if you have a backround in electronics it shouldnt be too hard to figure out.you might find out,however that parts could be more than a new supply.at the very least you will need a good multimeter and a good eye to check the pc board for burns and or breaks.at any rate you cant hurt it any more by trying.

Yeah i do, and i have about 20+ PSU's that are broken or not broken i could grab parts off of.
I repair motherboards and other crap all the type i just never really got involved in PSU's and well this psu is worth about 100 bucks used so i think trying to fix it would be well worth it
