Hi Manaro

To avoid issues with compatibility you should purchase 3 identical sticks. If you're not overclocking then 1600MHz RAM is fine, this generally comes in 9-9-9 timings at that speed. Are you upgrading an existing PC or is this a new purchase?

As for which brand is better, unless at the absolute bleeding-edge most RAM makes are very similar, I'd just ensure you get some with a lifetime warranty and good value.

Just be aware you can't use DDR4 memory in a DDR3 board at a later date :)

What board etc do you have in mind to buy and will you be overclocking?

With those boards they run dual-channel memory, so really you should buy 4x4GB sticks for 16GB(or 2x8GB) or stick with 8GB for now and upgrade later for best performance.

You can get 16GB of Kingston HyperX (2x8GB) for about £130 or 8GB (2x4GB) or Corsair Vengeance for about £65-£70
