Hi, here's my question. I'm using Handbrake to encode videos and I was wondering. What is the highest H.264 format profile that the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone can support and play back? Such as a video at say 720p at 30 fps, with a H.264 profile of High with a level of 4.1. Would it play back without lag? Please reply soon. Thank you!

Of course they will only give me the supported formats, but not the format profile and level for H.264.

Then you'll just have to try it yourself.

Just install a 3rd party media player and codec pack if you can't play a video or are worried about base support in the Android OS. I like MX Payer. The hardware in the S5 should be able to play 720p with ease and will likely play 1080p as well without issues.

As above, you can just encode a video and see how it plays.
