Computer starts up, beeps and then shuts down?

As soon as the computer starts up, it beeps and then shuts down. It will then proceed to reboot itself and repeat until I switch the psu off. I've tried pretty much everything and need help ASAP. Any answers appreciated.

I manages to get the computer to turn on and it said it activated surge protect as the computer was surging. Any idea why this is happening? I also tried what you said and its still doing it

Definitely the power mate. Are you experiencing any power fluctuations? It could also be that something is wrong with your power supply unit (not the ups) might have to get it checked. Was this the first time?

No it has worked before and this is the third time so I don't know what the issue is.. I've even reapplied the thermal compound on the CPU and unplugged every thing and still nothing
