Word not installed

Hi I have word installed on my laptop and I can create and save a document but when I go to retrieve a document it says word not installed and asks for a key or for me to puchase

Are you sure you're not using the online version of word, that's at outlook/com? Or do you possibly have an older version of Word where the document you're sung is trying to load a newer version?

You may also have a trial version installed and the trial version is now expired. What version of Office/Word do you have installed?
