So far, it looks like the MSI is the best choice. But a lot of people also like the evga acx sc

2 x 4gb ram is better than 1 x 8gb - unless you're going to get another 8gb very soon.

For one GTX970, you only need a 500W power supply. For two, you'd need 700W.

Otherwise, your build is good.

MSI, or ASUS if you don't want a red/black card. :)

I wouldn't go for MSI, just a personal choice. Rather a quality card any day.

For the first time in a while, the Asia Strix is actually looking better than the EVGA equivalent. I would go for the Strix, if I had to upgrade that is.

How is the MSI not a quality card? MSI have really stepped up their game in recent years.

Like I said, it's all bias and personal opinion. I personally havent had good times with their customer service. Plus I have heard more horror stories than I care about. Everyone has a different opinion on this website.

Yeah, fair enough. I was going to get the Strix but the MSI overclocks better, and it's thinner so temps will be better in SLI. I've had one dodgy MSI card, but I've used plenty in different builds and they're mostly pretty solid. I just wish the MSI 970 was metal, and had a backplate. But I suppose the VRM heatsink and great OCing makes up for it. :)

Gigabyte G1 Gaming and MSI Gaming are the two best.

Hey, Avirath -

I just wanted to make you aware that the Kingston V300 SSD is not a good choice. They are relatively slow for an SSD. Get a Samsung, Crucial, Intel or some other good SSD listed in the SSD Database at the top of the Storage Forum.

Also, why Win 8? May as well get 8.1 and save yourself the trouble to upgrade.

Much better CPU & mobo, much better PSU.

I want a sli motherboard along with an overclockable cpu so I would go with my build.

No point, an overclocked 8350 still won't be as good as an Intel i5. But ok, it will bottleneck in some game though...

Because you can continue making recommendations after an answer has been selected to the first question.

Even after the best answer selected is the 'best' recommendation? Please.

I just gave him recommendations on his build. I see no problem with that.
