I am wondering what is going on with my PC. Built it 2 1/2 years ago and it has functioned without a hitch since. That is, until a few days ago...

The PC suddenly stopped. No response whatsoever. The only way to start it again was to unplug the graphics card. So I assumed that the graphics card had given out. I replaced the graphic card and I seemed to be right; everything started working again, flawlessly.

That was until yesterday. While gaming, the same thing happened; total blackout. Seems I have now managed to fry a new Sapphire X9-series card. :(

Any suggestions as to what is going on will be very much appreciated! Faulty power? Mainboard? :O

I'm going to go with your PSU here but, before concluding that, take a quick look over your motherboard for any swollen or leaky capacitors (notably the ones between the PCI lanes). Your PSU may still be under warranty so IMO, initializing RMA for the PSU may be prudent here (unless bad caps are found on the motherboard).

Yup. Looks lie the PSU. Nothing fishy on the motherboard. So; another Sapphire graphic card and a new PSU... This is getting expensive! :heink: Anyway, no more Corsair. Ever. Going for Antec HCP-1000 Platinum as per the PSU tier list. Thank you for the assistance :)
