I have a (HP h8-1200z) desktop pc and the previous video card (Radeon HD 7450) no longer works.

I want to buy another dual monitor capable card but am having trouble finding a compatible one.

I previously bought the GeForce GT 730, but that didn't work, I'm guessing because my mother board only supports PCIe 1.x and the GeForce GT 730 is a PCIe 2.x.

Does anyone know of a sub $100 PCIe 1.x dual monitor video card?

Thanks

A PCIe2.0 card will work in a 1.x motherboard. a PCIe2.1 card will not work in a 1.x motherboard.
For slightly over $100, the GTS 450 is a phenomenal card. -> http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Superclocked-Mini-HDMI-Graph...

This card uses the same PCIe slot as your Radeon 7450.

But will probably overwhelm his OEM PSU. What about the ancient GT240?

The GT 240 is a bit more expensive, at like $130-$140 ish.

The model he has can come with a 300, 450, or 600 watt power supply. If he could post which one he had, we could know for sure what would be best.
