Hi there roopjeet,

Is it a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 HDD? I guess you can use it to run games off of it. Though, loading may take longer.

Do you have it, or you are considering buying it? If you already have it, it wont hurt if you try to run a game off of it.
Otherwise, I would recommend you to get a USB 3.0 device. Another thing you should consider is that the heavier the game, the harder for the drive to keep up with the data transfers and the loading times.

I have it and played Warframe on it and I was having problems so was just checking that it was hdd or my gpu I got a new one now I will check if the problem persists
