I actually have a 2600k box that I got when they were released with an H100i attached. I've been running it at around 4.6ghz with a 1.2v fixed vcore on a nearly 24hr basis. I think most people accepted 1.25 as a reasonable vcore as well. More important is temperature which isn't such a big issue with the 2nd generation i7's. Really you just want to keep it below 70c and you're set.

You have a 2600k that runs 4.6ghz with 1.2v???
I think you mean 1.3v because if its running at 1.2v then I think you have a golden cpu.
I can only hit 4.5ghz with 1.35v and I never came across 1 on the internet that will do 4.6ghz at 1.2v

It is definitely a very good sample, I got it up to 4.9 stable at about 1.3 or 1.35 but that was a long time ago and I really can't remember. After a little research the safe vcore that everyone seems to have adopted is about 1.4v for everyday use. Intel says 1.52 is the max but there are people that have gone above that. Like I said it's all about temperatures and your H100i should do a pretty good job of keeping that processor nice and cool.

Oke but i have it now running at 4.2ghz i think that the cpu together with a r9 290 will have no problem playing games at that speed.

Yep should run anything you can throw at it as long as you can endure the jet engine sound of an r9 290.
