I want an ssd to make my loading times faster, for general use, and gaming. I dont know which one to go for, as there are so many different brands. I was looking at a samsung 120 gb, but again, I have no clue. Please can someone give me advice, thanks alot! Much appreciated.

Any upgrade from any brand HDD to any brand of an SSD is a very noticeable change. The Samsung EVO's are very nice quality and efficiency, if you are on a budget, a PNY may be more suitable http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820178720 The read times may be a bit slower, but the write times have been seen to be faster. This is also $0.33 per gb, that's a steal.

If you want to go to the best with no risks, Samsung 840 EVO or PRO 120 or 240GB.
If you're upgrading from a HDD, you will feel the performance increase with almost any SATA III SSD from today. I upgraded my laptop with a Lite On SSD, it was quite cheap and i love the results. My SSD is actually a rebraded Plextor.
But, as I said, Samsung is the best.
