Final Thoughts on my PC Build?

Hi All,

Ultimately, the main goal of this build was to build a some-what future proof rig that would allow me to play games on Ultra for the next few years. Having the ability to OC as well is something that I'd like to have to.

With the launch of the GTX 980, I feel like this rig will be able to meet my expectations. With that being said, I'd love to get some feedback on this build.

Thanks for your feedback in advanced, it's greatly appreciated.

Looks very nice, components work together, power is right. Can't see what would be wrong with this build.

I've read some not so good things about the EVGA 980's and nothing but good about the Gigabyte ones.

Also, you may want to go up in power a couple hundred watts for in case you want to go SLI in the future.

What negative things have you read about EVGA's 980's? Im a fan of EVGA hence why I chose their brand in the first place

Where are you getting this information, the three most reliable brands are EVGA, MSI, and ASUS. Gigabyte cards are the second tier of video cards. The Gigabyte cards are good for cooling but not something to say its better than EVGA.

Plus even if he does go sli, he will still have hundreds of whats of leeway even after a second card. The 900 series are very power efficient.

You can easily run two 980s in SLI with that PSU. :)

No intention of SLI'ing in the near future so I think the PSU should be fine!
