I have a p7-1436s computer from HP. I just got a gpu for it today. I was ready to put it in, so I powered it down, and installed the video card. I plugged my monitor in, and turned the computer back on. It showed the HP logo like usual, but it just hung there for a half hour. I decided to try and take the video card out, and make sure it'd still boot from the integrated graphics. Again, after turning it on, the computer hung at the HP logo. Thinking it was some hard drive issue, I tried booting into the bios by pressing the F10 key repetitively after pressing the power button. Again, the computer hung at the HP screen. I also tried F6, F2, Delete, and ESC. All give the same result. I then tried unplugging all SATA connections to see if I'd get any errors. Again, the computer just hung at the HP logo. I then tried clearing the CMOS, again without success. I'm running out of ideas, and really scared that I may have fried my computer somehow ;( Any idea for anything know can try?
