Hello all,

I have 24gb of Corsair Dominator GT ram (3x4gb) in a Windows 7 (Ultimate) machine.

Windows sees the full amount of ram until I go into the bios and turn on XMP mode. Once in XMP mode Windows only sees 16gb. Is there anything I can do to make Windows see the full amount of ram while in XMP mode?

(The motherboard is an ASUS Rampage III Extreme, the processor an Intel i7-970)

Thank you.

Curious. Are you absolutely sure that the three sticks of memory are distributed on on each of the three memory channels?

I cant say with certainty...the truth is I haven't built a machine in a long time and not sure how to check. Would you be able to lead me in the right direction so I can give you a solid answer?

Might have to do with how XMP see the memory through the emulation, may only be able to 'See' in dual channel mode so only getting 2/3rds of the DRAM vs tri-channel and full 24GB

Is this normal or should I be able to see the full amount in XMP and just need to change certain settings?
