Yes it'd be a nice upgrade, what's the power (in Ampere) from 12V line(s) of PSU?

270x will kill that card. You should upgrade to a 270x and a new cpu man.

PS is weak.

the card is too big for the cpu. and the cpu isn't worth upgrading......... unless you switch sockets.

it's a better match to the cpu. I ran a 2gig 6950 with a q9550 for a couple of years. the 750 is a faster card............ I had to change sockets because the cpu couldn't keep up with more modern games. if you are upgrading the platform in the near future you might want to reconsider that......... your call. just wanted to give you the heads up.

new cpu means new board and new ram. don't forget that. so a 40amp name brand power supply with adequate plugs for everything now and in the near future and then a 270x. sounds good.
