intel hd 4400 vs 9600 gt

hello everyone:) 
i bought new computer with i3 4160 - and is has graphic 4400 HD.
i can connect 9600gt, should i?
which video card is better?

Depends on the games you're playing. The 9600gt is more powerful, but only compatible with DirectX 10. The Intel 4400 can use DirectX 11.1. If you're only playing older games, or games that don't use DirectX 11, the 9600gt is the better option.

The GeForce 9600 GT is more powerful than Intel HD 4400 - here's a GameDebate comparison. However, you should take in mind that GeForce 9600 GT is much older and may lack some technologies and optimizations, for example for playing and encoding videos, Intel HD 4400 is better, it can even decode and play Ultra HD 4K video with ease. The old GeForce 9600 GT will drain much more power and will produce more noise, too.

If I were you, I wouldn't bother with installing the 9600 GT. I would use Intel HD 4400 as a temporary solution and save up for a more recent dedicated video card. Note that a lot of games are also playable on Intel HD 4400, although most of them on low settings and resolutions:
