So I went out and bought a graphics card..nothing special and it fits in my motherboard nicely but now there's a lot of space next to the back of pc where all the slots go (RGA,DVI,e.t.c)
here's what I mean.
I had this big silver thing i'm guessing it's a graphics card holder or something..lol..i dont know

you see all that open space in the back now?
my dad is worried about leaving it open like that because of dust or something getting inside you know.

what can i do to cover that space?

Solution

yes

oh your right! i have the normal long bracket that it came on with, so i just put that one back on? So there was no graphics card in this riser cage then before this new one? because i thought the big green chip or whatever it is was the card? sorry im just now trying to get into the computer scene lol.
and now after i put in the bracket should i insert the disc that came with the box?

when i turned on it on everything on the screen is big like the resolution is all messed up. is that normal? and do i have to change it to what it was before or will it go back to the way it was on its own after the installation on the disc?
