So i was planning to get some new case fans while i'm upgrading my system (currently has the stock ones)

The case is an In Win Mana 136 which has one intake at the front of the case, and exhaust at the back

This is the new parts i'll be installing soon http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/lewisg743/saved/XTpzK8

So could anyone recommend the best, quiet fans for my build. I'm not too bothered about looks as performance trumps aesthetics in my opinion.

Thanks <3

Aerocool DS does perform better, but it produces more noise and it costs more. In the end, if complete silence with descent performance at a good price is the aim - be quiet! wins.

be quiet! Shadow Wings or Silent Wings 2. I recommend going with mid speed fans and tone them down. They are quite graceful, with a very low noise which comes from the air being moved rather than fan noise. They are very durable and they don't increase their noise rapidly over their lifetime. They have very good price/performance ratio that won me over the Aerocool Dead Silence. If you are looking for very high performance - then quiet is not in the equation. The only bad thing about be quiet! is that they are very hard and rather expensive in the US. In Europe - nothing beats them.

The thing is, is that as you can see form the link i won't be overclocking, so i don't really need to have the fans running that high most of the time, which is why i wan't to get more expensive ones which are designed fro more extreme systems. So they will easily cope with mine.

As long as they are quieter than my current stock ones (which i bet they are) i'll be happy :p

Well if you want to check it out there are just a couple other threads with this exact same topic. Just scroll down to the bottom of this page.

That being said I would highly recommend the Akasa Ultra Quiet fans, I have been using them for years. I went through quite a few brands before finding one that truly lived up to its name.

Just a word of warning, know what your use case is. Many "quiet fans" are quite because they do not push air as well as others. They move the same amount of air but the force behind it isn't the same. That is completely fine if there is nothing behind the fan but if you are expecting a "quite" fan to push air through a rad or even a group of HDDs you will need to move beyond the entry level ones.
