Well, i got an amd a6 6310 apu for "user" programing and i saw its only 1.8 per core.
I dont know if it will be enough for basic programing.
I saw it can get 2.4 with turbo core but i dont know if it will work when programing.
Thank you.

Turbo Core is when the CPU dynamically adjusts it's clock based on load, it's basically meant to give you "extra performance" when you need it.

Programming shouldn't need such a little boost, but i guess it would depend on what you're programming.

You should be fine. I'd only worry if the programs being executed will be resource hogs. But if it's just basic little programs, you'll be fine.

Some people program things like games and execute them on the system. But i don't put "basic" programming in that category. A resource hog taxes the system once it's executed, but again, if it's a small thing then it's really no issue. Basic programs don't need much to run on.

But turbo core/turbo clock or whatever works as overclocking?
I mean, when the cpu gets the 2.4 gh, will the cpu overheat/shut down or something, or it can manage the 2.4ghz without problem?

About the programing, the heaviest thing will be some android emulator, i wont make any videogame, 3d program o something. If you say its ok i trust you, you are the cpu expert xd.

Thank you again.

Greetings

Ya Turbo Core pushes up the clock speed a bit when it feels it needs to. Overheating shouldn't be a problem, the CPU is designed to do that and the cooler should be able to take that pretty small increase.

So if you have 2 or more active threads then the maximum clock speed the CPU will achieve is 2.0Ghz. If you have only 1 active thread the CPU will automatically clock UP TO 2.4Ghz. The way the manufacturer determines what the "turbo" rating is, is based on heating. So assuming the vendor using this AMD cpu follows all the recommended cooling requirements, the CPU can run 1 thread at 2.4Ghz indefinitely. But the CPU has built in thermal monitoring. IF it does get too hot because of dust or some other external reason, it will slow the clock down to allow itself to cool off.

The android emulators I searched for didn't seem to have to strenuous system requirements.
