So I recently ordered an MSI Z97-G55 motherboard. I have installed it in my case with all of the proper wiring, everything seems to be sitting well but when I press the power button nothing happens. I have followed the manual on how to plug each wire into the JFP1 and 2 pins but it isn't turning on, or doing anything at all. Any help on what I might be doing wrong is appreciated.

Intel I5 4690k
4GB Ram

My system was working fine with my old Asus motherboard and now nothing at all is happening.

Not likely, there are so many other things that can go wrong.

Any part of the computer can cause this situation. Any part, can stop a computer from starting.

I would first review all the plugs.

JBAT1 is the clear CMOS jumper.
That's a new one on me.

So you do know you are clearing the CMOS when you push the button.

If everything is hooked up right, and your old board still works, I'd suspect the motherboard.

I tried touching those pins with a screwdriver after unplugging everything and nothing seems to have changed if I plug it into the JBAT1 and press the power button the light comes on so I know the wire and button are still functional, Could the JFP pins be faulty?
