Hi,

I am relatively new to building PC's as I have only ever built a basic Micro-ATX system before. And I am reluctant to buy the XFX R9 270X (R9-270X-CDFC) because I am not sure whether it would fit in my case (Silverstone FT03B-Mini).

The 270X has a length, according to the manufacturers website, of 9.9" and the case supports a graphics card with a length of up to 10". I would like to know whether this is enough clearance for me to be sure that the card would fit before actually buying it.

Also the cards power connectors are on the top...

I guess that depends on whether or not the power for the GPU comes off the top of the car or the back. If it's that tight of a squeeze, you have to think about the 6/8-pin connectors going into the video card and whether they'll fit along with the card. If it's off the top, I'd say you're fine.

Thanks...

The power connectors for the card are coming off the top so like you said I guess it will probably fit OK but im worried about variation in the GPU length and the possibility of the card not fitting due to it being bigger than the measurement given by XFX. Is this something that occurs sometimes or is there not any chance of it happening.

If the manufacturer specs for that card say 9.9" then you shouldn't have any issue going off that. I would measure the actual space in your case before purchasing though. If you've got a card in there already, measure from the slot, down the line of the video card and see if it'll accommodate the 9.9-10".
