Hey guys so I'm having trouble understand why I'm only getting a maximum of 10 MB/s when I'm paying for 200MB/s symmetrical, I'll try to be as detailed as possible. I had this speed working perfectly before I had some guys change my old ethernet cable for a new one (it's 40m long, I'm not that lazy lol). Since then I only get 4-6 MB's and noticed in Connection diagnostics that "Link Speed: 10MBps. The link partner is not capable of higher speeds". My 'Speed and Duplex' is set to Auto Negotiation and is currently at 10MBps Full~ Also every time I restart my computer or wake up after being in sleep mode it will take around 20 seconds to establish the connection with the internet (it keeps identifying and then fails, until it works). So my question is, is it the cable that's faulty or something else? I live in Mexico so it would be an accurate assumption to say that the guys who installed it (and who I also bought the cable from) ripped me off by giving me a cheaper cable perhaps? Or is it a bad configuration or something with my router? Also as you can see in the screenshot on the cable diagnosis tab, it says that the cable is borderline "Good" and this cable is only a week old, I even saw the technicians put in the new jacks or connectors on both ends~

You should be able to get 100m even on very cheap cable. Pretty much cat5e cable is cheaper than almost any other wire except maybe alarm wire and cat5e can run 1g. It should be marked on the side of the cable. TIA/EIA is what you are looking for. The most common issue would be if they have the ends wrong. If it is terminated on keystone jacks you should be able to pull the wires off on both ends cut some off and re install them making sure the colors are in the right positions. If it has RJ45 then you will need a tool to cut them off and replace them.

I just read the text on the cable and this is the entire text, some capitals may be off. It's not even a CAT5E is it? I think I got ripped off

I was wrong it wasn't SE its 5E lol, my bad. So even if some of the colored cables are in the wrong place at each end the cable will be able to give me a connection of 5-10 MB/s? If so then yeah I'll call them to come and fix it~ And thanks alot of your reply, really appreciate it!

That is certified cat5e cable so it will run 1g. Depending how lucky you are you can get it to work with the colors mismatched. The key one to make sure is not wrong are the pairs. It does not matter as much if you would say use the blue (rather than green or orange) pair for position 1,2 on both ends but if you were to put the blue on pin1 and the blue/white on pin 3 you will get massive issues.

Just checked the order of the colored cables and it turns out they were, in fact, in the wrong order.
They were as follows:
White Orange
Orange
Blue
White~
White~
Green
White~
Brown

Just called the technician and he's on his way to fix it, thanks a lot! (I would've probably bought a new cable without your input)
