Hey guys! I am planning a new gaming build and want to know what will be better for my gaming rig, Ethernet or wifi. My computer is in the same room as my router so I will not need a long cord which will save me money. So what will be better?? Also, if it is wireless should I choose a motherboard with wifi built in? (I would prefer not and just buy and adapter as it will be cheaper)

Ethernet is always better, hands down.

If you can go with ethernet, go with it and don't even think about wireless.

Ethernet will always be better for gaming. WiFi can get interference from so many things, and if the WiFi gets interrupted...well, you can figure what will happen from there.

If it was necessary to use WiFi(which, if the router is right there, you absolutely, under no circumstances should be using WiFi.), a dedicated WiFi card will be better.
