Hi All,

First time posting and to ask for help...

2 years ago I Bought a ASUS All In One ET2701INKI, redundantly at first because since i always "build up" my own desktops PC's since 1990...

I bought it because i needed space and minimum cabling possible (smal room, children, wife pressure...) impressively it showed up a 5*'s machine fast, Diablo 3, Skyrim, Starcraft II, etc, etc at full graphics, quite, no dust, no cables, seemed perfect!...

On month ago i started to see that, when shutting down the screen was all black, but it wasn't shut down.. and the CPU FAN blowing like crazy... i saw also that it was incredibly HOT the air exiting from the top of the computer.. (left all night and still no shut down)

After some reading, installed CPUID HWMonitor and then i started to really worry... the CPU processor, after forcing the shut down and on again, was around 100º (i have picture but cant seem to upload it somewhere).

Avast says no virus, Malwarebytes no probem, opened and cleaned dust (almost inexistent), and still continue with high temperatures, even just typing here the processor is around 80º and processes and backround programs reduced to the minimum...

Can someone give me some lights on what to do? Anyone has All-In-One?

Thank You,

Regards,

OdinPT

There was a thread before that the source of too much heat is that he forgot to remove the plastic in the CPU cooler.

Are you using a stock cooler or aftermarket cooler?

Also check the thermal paste, try to reapply thermal paste.

And that was the solution!

I never had to change the Termal paste in none of my computers... and i had quite a few...

After your post i thought "what a heck... lets open this" i have some nice fotos of the all in one opened! :D

The termal paste was like rigid plastic and for what i have seen the processor was not even in contact with the colling device.. also some heavy compacted dust at the entrance between the fan and the pipes, cleaned, and now the maximum temperatures i have seen is about 60º for the processor 40º for the Graphics!

Thank you very much!
