I am very lost first time building a computer.
I have placed all of the parts in the computer but the mother board does not seem to have an onboard video display port and I cant figure out how I am supposed to get information on the monitor without one.

More about : 970a ds3p video display port

Hello Nadman210, do you have a graphics card? As far I can discern, that motherboard is a CPU only one, which means that your CPU doesn't have onboard graphics, try plugging it to your graphics card. If and once you've plugged it into the graphics, download the latest drivers off the Nvidia's/AMD's website.

I cant download drivers because the OS is not installed. The Bios don't come up because the drivers are not intalled. We cant get anything on the monitor. I just build the computer. That is what i am thinking.

Yes I understand, however you need to plug the graphics card to the monitor via HDMI, Display Port, DVI etc. in order to get a signal from it. Bios should come up as long as you have a display. If you do not have a graphics card, I'm afraid you can't do anything since you can't navigate it. Could you provide more details of what happens? When you power on the PC and afterwards. Would be nice :)

P.S: Oh and also, you don't need the drivers to be able to use your graphics card for basic use.

So I have a GTX660 that is plugged in, and when I hit the power everything spins up (lights come on, HD spins, fans spin, etc.) however nothing appears on the monitor when plugged in via HDMI, DVI, or VGA. I've tried this with three different monitors and still nothing :/  Really not sure what to do at this point.

Hmm do you hear any erratic beeping sounds? You could maybe try reseating the 660 until it locks in properly though it may already be in properly.

Hmm you wouldn't happen to have a spare graphics card somewhere do you? You could try swapping it out and see it it works, or you could try using the GTX 660 in another computer if you can. If another card works, means that the GTX 660 may be defective and if it works in another computer, the PCIe slot is defective.
