Will Gigabyte h97m-d3h accept fresh haswell processer without bios update

I have recently purchased core i5 4460 CPU,now i am planning to buy a mobo which should fully support fresh newly purchased haswell core i5 cpu without any kind of bios update....does gigabyte h97m-d3h supports core i5 4460 without updating bios

Z97 is released later than Haswell ,so i guess no BIOS update is needed

Nothing changes , Z97 and H97 are released together . Usually H97 is not for overclocking and SLI but is fair enough

According to the Gigabyte h97m-d3h CPU support page you only need BIOS version F2 since your CPU is not a Devil's Canyon refresh. Based on what I saw it seems the board ships with at least F2. You should be good.

F2 should be the default BIOS , otherwise no CPU would be supported . The other is F3 , so i think the default is F2 .

the purpose of chipsets H97/Z97 is to support new Haswell refresh CPUs and PCI-E ssd .
