Hi guys, I'm planning my future upgrade path, and am looking at a few cases, and would appreciate some opinions.

Striking the right balance between cool/quiet is key imo. I'll likely be running SLI cards in the future, so good airflow is a priority!

NZXT H440
Corsair Air 540
Corsair 350D

Thanks :)

Depends on how you choose a case. If it's on "looks", then you don't need to do more than look at the picture.... but Bill Owen doesn't spend 30 minites on case Review fro any run of the mill box. it;s all about the features:

Can you see the PSU and cables in the other boxes ? Can't on the EP
Do those cases come with built in fan controller ? ... one that control regular 3 pin fans via a PWM signal ?
Do those cases have any where near the cable management features of the EP ?
Are those cases as mod friendly as the EP ?
Do other cases come with the best fans on the market ?
Do other cases give the option of using any / all / none of the 3.5" bays ?
Do other cases give the option of using any / all / none of the 5.25" bays ?

To learn those answers, you'll need more than a few minutes to ascertain why the cases are so different. The answers are in the reviews

Don't get me wrong ....I liek the 350D.... the H440 is a great acse, tho no 5.25 bays is a bad idea IMO as it reduces the market you can sell to ....

Had a look at the Enthoo, seems a bit heavy and has a few niggly bits such as poor acrylic window quality.Something a bit more mid-tower'y would be better.

Which Enthoo ? The Pro, the Primo or the Luxe ?

Some peeps don't like the tinted window.... it was one of the things that attracted me to the case.

H440 = 8.67" x 20.08" x 18.71" (W x H x D) / 21.50lbs
350D = 17.7" x 8.3" x 17.3" / 13.3 lbs.
Air 540 = 16.3 x x 13.1 x 18.03 / 13.2 pounds
Enthoo pro = 21.06" x 9.25" x 21.65" (H x W x D) / 26.00lbs

The two I see as being the most comparable is the Enthoo pro and the H440.... the weight of the other two just screams "to much plastic".

So the Pro is about an inch taller than the H440 and about a half inch wider. The 3 inch depth is the biggest difference but that is to fit in a PSU and a radiator along the bottom. The extra length also helps fit in high end GFX cards.

The Mini XL is smaller but dunno when it will come out.

the only other case I have used in the last year is the Corsair 500R ... you can catch it as low s $69.99 on newegg when MIRs and specials coincide. Doesn't have the fit and finish or sturdiness of the pro tho. 20.5" x 8.1" x 20" / 16.6 lbs
