Hello,
So when I first got the computer the internet was perfect. Probably the second best internet connection I have ever had. The computer is great too. About a month or two later my internet had some weird things going on. It disconnected and for a while I couldn't get it to work. I found out about troubleshooting and that fixed it. Happened a month later. Then another month it did it. Then the problem kinda disappeared. I let my little brother play super hero squad one day thinking its a safe game. Did my usual "will this give me a virus, look fishy, or is it a scam" check. While I do believe MMOs are a scam in general most of the time, it looked legit(did research no viruses, owned by Marvel, etc). I went back on and my internet would disconnect and reconnect and disconnect once again and repeat. I thought maybe because it was an MMO it probably stressed my internet connection or something. I have a basic idea of the internet but I sort of knew that playing an MMO can slow it down and sometimes kinda mess the connection a bit. Well it never stopped. I troubleshooted and it would fix it but it would continue. Later it said it was a faulty cord or something. The cords look fine. I thought it was something internal. I never replaced them because my family is low on cash. What does not make sense is my Xbox 360 can connect perfectly. I know the xbox isn't affecting it because when it is off I still have issues. I even disconnected the other computer we have. Unplugged every wire in my house and still have issues with this computer. I reset everything in my house and I still have issues. Went through a dozen of fixes online(changing the download speed or amount, messing with settings, etc.). No progress. I used one fix where I use ipconfig in cmd and typing ipreset(or I think thats what it was). It worked for about 10 minutes and went back. Sometimes the connection has these weird "sweet" times where I have an hour or two of uninterrupted connection. I am sure no one is connected to my connection. I set a password. I don't believe my firewall is the issue. Recently my other brother got a laptop and were in the same room and his connection is flawless. So I have basically run out of solutions other than getting a new computer so I came here to ask for help.
Thank you. :)

If it's only happening on yours, it maybe a faulty LAN, or you may have to update the wireless or LAN drivers. Depending on how you're getting online.

Try this go into the ethernet / wireless (if you have wireless) entry in device manager. Dbl click on them, go to power management tab. Untick the 1st option allow the computer to turn off this device.

Sometimes this can cut you off, as it says to save power.

See if it makes a diff

Everything is updated. Unticking the saving power option I think has increased my speed but the problem continues. A big difference is that when I troubleshoot I am told that I am not connected to anything unlike before where it told me a network cable was unplugged or damaged. I should add I use a Air link usb adapter. That is what lets me connect to the network. Would that need to be replaced?

Try updating the wireless drivers or put it in another port. See if that helps. Or if it came with an extension, connect it

Still not working. It works for a few seconds and goes back to what it has been doing.
