I'm trying to figure out what makes this annoying buzz noise in my case and its either psu or gpu it seems, maybe hdd. I hope its not coil whine.
I have evga gtx 770 and evga software doesnt let me reduce it below 41%.
If I can just disable it bios, that is enough.
I removed the power connectors from gpu but fans still ran. mobo doesnt have integrated ones so cant disable actual gpu.
what to do without physically removing it?

my last choice is holding both fans with my finger lol

You might be able to disconnect the fan power connector. Do NOT do it for very long

MSI afterburner might let the fans go lower too.

I would honestly remove the card, its simple, easy, and safe.

Its under the hood, cant access it.

Tried msi afterburner too, same lower limit. I found out it is hardcoded to gpus bios, I need to flash the bios to edit it. cant really bother.

Can holding the fans before it starts do any damage?

I'm sure it's not ideal, but I've stopped fans with my fingers to see if they were making a noise plenty of times.

Few things to watch out for. Always stop the fan in the center, don't touch the blades as they can break.

Also if for some reason the fans don't kick back on, (they can do that on some CPU fans) be ready to shut down the computer, this is pretty rare though.
