Hi there, I am building a PC and am trying to install my power supply unit (EVGA nex750b) to my graphics card (Radeon R9 290)... Instructions say to insert 6/6+2-pin PCI-E cables to the graphics card... I notice that there are two pin connectors - one with 6 pins and the other with 8 pins... do I need to plug the 6 in the 6 pin connector and the other 2 pins in the 8 slot? or do they all need to be plugged into the 8 pin connector - or does it really matter?

Thanks, hope this makes sense...

Ryan

1 - 6 pin without the 2 pin in the 6 pin and 1 - 6+2 pin into the 8 pin.

Sorry - this is confusing - so the power supply only has a 6pin and another 2 pins beside it... so you are saying to plug the 6 in the 6 pin and the other 2 pins in the 8 pin slot? so 6 pins won't be used?

I only have 6+2 pins - and there are 14 slots (6 pin slots beside 8 pin slot) on the graphics card
