I'm going to purchase a new laptop here in India and based on my current research I've short-listed these two candidates fitting my budget and requirements. I would like to know from you hardware experts which one is better/recommended between these two? They cost roughly the same.

My usage would be limited to browsing, editing documents, light gaming and sometimes a little bit of programming. Both of them come with AMD quad-core processors that should suffice my requirements.

I also want my laptop to be durable and to last longer. Though I've heard that Dell laptops used to be more durable and long-lasting in the past, is that the case presently too?

Here are the specs of each one in summary:

Asus X552EA-SX006D Laptop (APU Quad Core A4-5000/ 4GB/ 500GB/ DOS)

Dell Vostro 14 3445 Notebook (APU Quad Core A6-6310/ 4GB/ 500GB/ Ubuntu/ 2GB Graph)

The price of Asus is a little bit lesser (around US$ 13), but its processor variant (A4-5000) also performs a bit slower than the Dell one (A6-6310), but should that matter much in overall performance? (source: http://www.cpubenchmark.net)

The plus point of Asus is that it comes with a chiclet keyboard compared to the Dell's standard one. Again, does this make typing comfortable? (I'm a heavy user sometimes working at a stretch for 5-6 hrs)
