Hi,

I am upgrading from AMD to Intel but after like 10 years or something with AMD. I really wanted to support the underdogs but I cant for business and gaming reasons now.

I have an old ATI HD6770 card. Would it be worth using still or would I be better with the integrated graphics that comes with the I5-4670? I believe that would be Intel® HD Graphics 4600?

Either way I will be happy because performance in BF4 is already quite decent even though I only currently have an AMD X4 640 3GHZ chip.

Thanks for any help in advance! :p

ATI HD6770 is better than almost any integrated graphics. It is still a pretty decent card. Your CPU is quad core X4 640 and offers some performance. Of course an i5 is still better but I am not sure if the performance difference will be noticeable.

The 6770 is much faster. Intel graphics are still junk for games

Should I just spent my £300-400 budget on a graphics card then instead of a new motherboard and CPU?

To be honest at first I just wanted an FX8350 to replace my current CPU but I dont think my board will take it. Its just an old now Asus M4A78LT-M.

If my mobo could of handled it I would of just gone with an FX8350 and maybe a R9 series card. It would be a lot easier. I already have an SSD with everything installed nicely the way I like it.

I could save then for a year until I can replace my whole system.
