Hi there over the last few weeks, i have started to have a few boot issues, where sometimes nothing would happen just black screen. sometimes would boot, but windows 7 would load in that aero display where graphics performance is poor, and then other times it booted just fine.
I had recently upped my over-clock from 3.7ghtz to 3.94. And i had been playing games like bf4 stable for about two months with no problems. The other thing i changed on my system was installing a ssd. I followed a guide where i removed standby from windows to save on the space used by windows. I thought this might be the problem so i reinstalled windows 7.
Now its got even worse i pretty much cant get it to post. maybe once in 20 tries you get into the bios and can load windows.
My motherboard debug is showing mainly code 7f, for a while it was showing ff. I followed some guides and took every component out, and put them back in, but i couldn't clearly tell if there is a faulty party. Also there is no smell of burnt electronics etc The strange thing is every once in a while it will boot and all seem fine?
I have tried removing the motherboard battery and have reset cmos.
I have a feeling the motherboard is fried, but its strange it boots now and again? Still when it boots it show debug code 7f.
My system is windows 7 foxconn flaming gti motherboard intel i7 960 with 6gb hyper x ddr3 with gtx 770 and samsung evo 500g ssd.
Can anyone suggest anything? Many thanks
