How do I copy JUST one partition (that holds the OS) from one HDD to another & make it bootable?

I have a bigger HDD with 2 partitions. A small partition that holds the OS & a bigger one that I use for data. How can I copy just the OS partition to another HDD & make it bootable. I've tried copying a partition & the copy part works. It's just won't boot up.

In some cloning softwares there is a selection you need to make for it to be bootable. Often just a check box.

Thank you. I'll give this a go & see what happens...
Well, when I paid a little more attention to the software you mentioned, I realize that's the one I'm using. I tried a bunch of times with that one & couldn't do it. I downloaded & installed AOMEI Partition Assistant (Free version) & it worked the first time. No sweat. All this time it was the software I was using.
