Want to get a SSD for my pc. I would like to know if when i get one can I just copy my OS and maybe certain programs and games over to the SSD. And then remove them from my HDD. Or will i have to do a fresh install of everything on the SSD.

Also, Newegg has a sale on a Kingston SSD, but i recall reading some bad things about them recently. I would like to know others thoughts on them.

Hello deadpool,

I always recommend copying setting but getting a fresh install, nothing like that new windows smell! a low level format can do great things to your machine, just make sure to backup everything you really do need.

As for Kingston they are an improvement over a normal mechanical HDD but to get that blazing speed feeling you are after i would recommend a Samsung 840 series that had its prices cut down recently.
