Hi folks.
I have two laptops with windows 8.1 installed. Well, one has, the other has no HDD but used to have windows 8.1 until the drive corrupted. What is the best way to sort the computer with a corrupted drive into a working machine. I have now put a new drive in it by the way.
Any thoughts are much appreciated.
Both are factory installed versions. Both machines are C50D-A-13 models but one is a 13X and the other a 13V (considerably more powerful).

So....Just for reference if anybody has the same issue (unlikely i know). I created recovery disks from the low spec machine and used them in the other and this appears to have worked fine, Laptop saying it has a genuine license and everything is working.....Sweeeet.

you could reinstall windows on the new harddrive, but the problem is that you will need a product key. If you do not have it, your best luck is to call the customer service of the computer's manufacturer to find your old one.
